Congratulations to Deborah Drury for graduating from the Master of Science in Holistic Nutrition program. Deborah previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a retired teacher and registered nurse who taught Health Occupations to high school seniors for 19 years, helping students become certified nurse assistants (CNAs) as a first step in a career in the healthcare field. While in college she worked as a nurse assistant and upon graduation moved to the rehabilitation area of nursing where she became a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse. She was the local Muscular Dystrophy clinic nurse, worked in education teaching new employees, and was a clinical instructor for Shawnee Community College LPN program. She is interested in alternative medicine and healthcare choices that can improve life on a holistic basis. After researching universities for several years, Deborah chose Hawthorn for her studies. Her goals include providing herself, her loved ones, and all who seek her guidance with a natural, holistic educational approach to a healthy life style. Deborah's thesis is entitled Diet and Lifestyle Changes to Mitigate an Overgrowth of Candida Albicans in Women. Best of luck, Deborah!
