"Practical Steps for Integrating and Specifying Detoxification for You, The Individual"

This presentation will cover concepts related to detoxification from a dietary standpoint, nutritional supplements specific to particular phases and/or problems/issues, naturopathic and medical treatments for detoxification and learning to identify if you may be suffering from issues related to toxicity (and subsequent suggestions on how to address). Dr. Eric Wood, ND is a licensed naturopathic doctor through the state of Vermont and is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Canada where he completed specialty rotations in HIV/AIDs care, sports medicine, and cancer. He received additional training at Harvard University's Benson Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, completed a fellowship through the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society's Physician Training Program and volunteered and observed at notable integrative cancer treatment centers while in school including the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, the Issels Clinic, and Medicor (Canada). Since graduation, he has worked with some of the leading supplement companies in integrative medicine including Neuroscience Inc. and Life Extension, where he currently serves as a staff physician specializing in oncology and infectious disease. He also is an associate professor with the Mind Body Medical University of Los Angeles and is a NEI certified Neuro-endocrine-immune specialist. Additionally, he has completed additional training in advanced European detoxification techniques, European Biological Medicine, Food as Medicine, HCG weight loss and more. He is a member of the Florida Naturopathic Physician's Association and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians and was previously a certified personal trainer in Canada. In 2011, he joined the faculty of Hawthorn University where he is excited to contribute to the teaching of the next generation of health care educators and professionals in both the MHNE and MSHN programs.
